Nestled beside the historic Round Tower is the McDonnell family dairy farm. Tower Lodge is a beautifully renovated annex that has been lovingly restored to create a warm and comfortable countryside retreat.
Tower House dates back to the late 1890s, and both the house and surrounding farm are steeped in local history. Today, the working dairy farm gives guests an authentic glimpse of rural Irish life while enjoying all the comforts of a modern self-catering stay.
Just beside the property lies the historic monastic site of Monasterboice, cared for by the Office of Public Works. Its iconic round tower, ancient high crosses and monastic ruins provide an extraordinary backdrop and connect the area to more than 1,500 years of Irish history.

Highly recommend a stay at Tower Lodge. A beautifully restored farm building with every comfort. We had a great nights sleep in the comfy beds and enjoyed the open plan living space, making use of the cooking facilities. Excellent WiFi meant I was able to catch up on work. The surrounding area was full of historic sites, rolling hills and beautiful beaches. Being right beside the iconic monasterboice round tower was magical. Richella was a fantastic host and nothing was too much trouble. We look forward to returning to tower lodge.

We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. Tower Lodge was a five star experience in every sense. The property was a high quality and beds were so comfortable.
The host Richella was welcoming, and made the whole experience perfect.
The location of Tower Lodge was ideal for our trip: convenient access to the amazing Newgrange and Boyne Valley not to mention the Monasterboice high tower in our backyard.
